My Research

I design coastal and offshore observation programmes, bringing together physical, chemical and biological records.

I assess the effects of spills and warfare on marine waters, including the movement and sources of oil pollution.

I work to preserve scattered datasets and make them usable together. Reliable trends depend on knowing how the measurements were made.

I contribute to adapting the EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive to Ukraine’s monitoring programmes.
